Description
14-16 Church Drive is a pair of houses located in Port Sunlight, built between 1900 and 1902 by architects Grayson and Ould. The buildings are constructed of red brick with bands of blue brick and feature hipped slate roofs. They are two storeys tall and consist of 14 bays, with two bays at each end recessed. The central four bays project forward beneath a segmental pediment.
The top of the building has a modillioned cornice, and the pediment is decorated with pargetting that includes festoons and a cartouche displaying the letter "L" along with the date 1900. The houses have angle pilasters, and the windows are sash style with glazing bars; the ground floor windows have segmental heads. Entrances are located in round-headed recesses with keys, featuring half-glazed doors with small-paned lights. There are five cross-axial stacks topped with angle pilasters and tile caps. The rear of the buildings is similar in design.
This listing also includes Nos. 25, 26, and 27 Windy Bank.
