Description

This is a terrace of three houses located on New Chester Road, Bebington, dating from 1897 and designed by Douglas and Fordham. The houses are constructed of brick with plastered gables and tile roofs. They are two storeys high, with a three-bay layout, the third bay set back. A band runs across the ground floor, with diapering on the first floor. The ground floor features double-chamfered-mullioned windows with brick mullions, elliptical heads, and leaded glazing, arranged as 4-lights, 4-lights, and 3-lights. The first floor has five-light leaded casements, with a 20th-century replica replacing the original in the second bay. Elliptical-headed entrances have plank doors fitted with strap hinges and three small windows above. The side returns have projecting lateral stacks and half-canted projections with hipped roofs and angle lights. The rear elevation is similar, and includes privies.
