Description
Nos. 26 to 34 on Central Road are five houses built in 1911 by F.J. Barnish. They feature a roughcast exterior on a brick base, with a hipped tile roof and brick chimneys.
The houses are two storeys tall and consist of five bays, with the end bays projecting under hipped gables. There is a drip mould over the ground floor and deep eaves. The windows are three-light small-paned casements. The entrances have tile canopies, with the doorways for Nos. 20 and 22 being paired. The plank doors have diamond-pattern glazing bars. There are two cross-axial stacks and a lateral stack on the left side. The rear of the houses is similar in design. A screen wall connects this group to Nos. 16 to 24.
