Description
Nos. 17 to 23 on The Folds is a terrace of four houses built around 1892 by Grayson and Ould. The houses feature a timber frame on a stone base, with a stone ground floor in the end bays, shingled gables, and a tiled roof. They are one storey with an attic and consist of four bays. The end bays project forward and have gabled jettied ends. The ground floors have battered walls and cornices with coved eaves. The ground floor windows consist of four lights, and the end bays have double-chamfered mullions. The first floor includes jettied gabled dormers with coving, and the end bays feature six-light canted oriel windows. All windows are fitted with leaded glazing. The entrances have doors with vertical strips and straps, with the central doors covered by a tiled canopy. There are two cross-axial stacks on the roof.
