Description

No. 2 Raby Road is a house built in the 1890s by Grayson and Ould. It features a timber-frame construction resting on a stone base, topped with a stone slate roof. The house has one storey and consists of two bays. The framing is simple, with posts and braces. Notable features include a four-light canted oriel window with leaded glazing and a central gabled porch. The porch has open side panels with turned balusters and a bench on the left side, along with a plank door that has vertical strips. There are stone cross-axial and projecting gable-end stacks with octagonal shafts. The right side of the house has a gabled projection that is flush with the front.
