Description
This building at 52-56 Primrose Hill consists of three houses built in 1899 by Maurice B. Adams. The structure is made of brick with fishscale tile-hanging on the first floor, featuring a timber-framed gable and a half-hipped tile roof. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with the central bay projecting under a wide gable that has a jettied tiled apex and buttresses on the sides.
On the ground floor, the windows are topped with gauged-brick cambered arches, with the central window having a flat arch and three-light small-paned casements. The first floor features a central four-light projecting window. The entrances are located in round-headed recesses and have small-paned lights, with additional small lights at the front. The building has two cross-axial stacks and a lateral stack on the left return. The right return includes a gabled porch, and both returns have two windows on the first floor. The rear of the building is similar to the front, with projecting end bays and half-dormers.
