Description
This is a farm building located to the northwest of the cowhouses at Mossborough Hall, dating from 1852. It is constructed of stone and features a slate roof. The building includes a barn with a three-storey animal feed mill at the eastern end, flanked by two-storey ranges that consist of eight bays, with the ground floors covered by lean-to roofs. The ground floor was originally used for bull boxes, which have since been removed. The bay to the left of the mill housed a steam engine that powered the mill machinery, with a lateral stack extending to the first floor. At the rear of the left-hand wing, there is a cart shed with segmental arches. A lean-to porch at the rear of the engine house has an entrance with a mask key. The facade of the right-hand range is from the 20th century, with a shed located behind it. The barn features ground floor windows and first floor louvred square openings, along with opposing barn doors and three pitching holes in the gable end.
