Description
Dial House is a house dated 1722, as indicated by the date stone. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a central gabled porch that projects from the front and is two storeys high. The end bay is likely a 20th-century addition.
On the ground floor, there is a brick lintel band above the original posts, with wedge lintels supporting the windows. The windows are sash style, with those on the first floor featuring glazing bars, while the end bay has small-paned casements. The entrance is notable for its panelled pilasters and entablature, along with an overlight and a four-panel door. Above the entrance, there is both the date stone and a sundial. The right side of the house has a 20th-century sun lounge. There are two brick chimneys; one is located on the left gable end and is a 20th-century addition, while the other is on the original right gable.
