Description
Heysome House is an early 19th-century brick house with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features three bays, with a recessed one-storey extension to the left. The building has rusticated quoins, and the windows are fitted with wedge lintels; one window is a sash with glazing bars, while the central first-floor window has a small-paned casement. The extension includes two large small-paned casements. The central entrance is round-headed and has an inset Doric doorcase with a complete fanlight above a six-panel door that has four fielded panels. There are three brick gable-end stacks topped with late 19th-century red brick caps. At the rear, the house has sashed windows with glazing bars, including a tall central stair window that is also sashed. Inside, there is a dog-leg staircase with an open string and square balusters.
