Description

The verandah attached to the shop fronts at Lord Street in Southport is likely from the early 20th century. It features a four-bay colonnade supported by short cast-iron columns that have flared enriched pedestals and plain shafts. The columns are topped with crocket caps and are complemented by panelled stilts adorned with guilloche enrichment. The structure includes open-work brackets with sunflower motifs, plain beams, and altered gutters, all covered by a single-pitched glazed roof. Note that numbers 525-533 are not included in this listing.
