Description
No. 13 Lord Street West is a house that has been subdivided into flats. It was likely built in the mid-19th century and has undergone alterations. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and a hipped slate roof, reflecting a late Georgian style.
The exterior features two storeys and a symmetrical three-window range. It has a plinth, a first-floor sill band, a plain frieze, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course with panelled upstands over the raised outer bays. The central doorway is adorned with pilasters, an entablature, and a cornice, leading to a recessed door that is glazed and from the 20th century. The building has hornless 2/2 sashed windows on both floors, with the ground-floor windows featuring panelled triangular-headed wedge lintels. The roof currently lacks chimneys. On the left side, there is a doorway with a pilastered surround and a chimney located at the junction with the rear wing. The interior has not been inspected.
