Description

The White House, together with its stable block, is a house dating from the 1820s. It is constructed of stucco with a hipped slate roof. The building is two storeys high and comprises three bays. A sill band to the first floor and deep, bracketed eaves are prominent features. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The central entrance has an eared architrave, an overlight with glazing bars, and a two-panel door. A stable block is located to the rear of the main house, and two stacks flank the ridge. It is believed that the White House was built as a dower house for the Ince Blundell Estate.
