Description
The Round House is a late 18th-century house located on the south-west side of Moor Lane in Ince Blundell. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a conical stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a circular plan with eight bays, where alternate bays are flat-faced. At the rear, there is a one-storey, 20th-century gabled wing. The windows are fitted with gauged brick flat arches and are sashed with glazing bars. The flat-faced bays contain stone-faced round-headed recesses with keys and impost blocks. The front bay features a round-headed entrance with a round-headed six-panel door, while the side bays have 20th-century Venetian French windows. There is a central round stack, likely from the 19th century.
