Description
Three houses, numbers 92, 94, and 96 King Street, date from the mid-19th century. The houses at numbers 92 and 94 are a pair, set back from the street. They are built of brick with a slate roof.
The front elevation is two storeys and features a wide, slightly raised open-pedimented centre. The centre has a large, blank arch with a run-out impost band. Flanking the arch are single-storey canted bay windows with sash glazing; the upper panes of the sashes are arched. Above, round-headed sash windows are set within the upper floor, each featuring radiating glazing bars. The outer bays are narrow and have round-headed doorways with painted stone surrounds, including simple imposts and keystones. First-floor windows in these bays are round-headed sashes with glazing bars.
Number 96 is attached to the front corner of number 94 and represents the right-hand half of a pair of houses. It features a canted bay window similar to those at numbers 92 and 94, with glazing bars in both leaves of the sashes. A round-headed doorway is situated to the left of the bay, and two six-panel sashes are located above. The interior was not inspected.
