Description
Allerton Golf Club House is a building dating from 1815, designed by T. Harrison. It is part of a larger house, with the northwest section currently functioning as a clubhouse, while the rest has been destroyed by fire and is now in ruins. The structure is made of stone and consists of one storey with seven bays across. The southeast facade features an octastyle Doric portico. The windows lack frames, with the first two being blind. The left side of the building has a frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The first bay includes a rectangular projection with an entrance flanked by windows. The fourth, fifth, and sixth bays are bowed and feature an applied tetrastyle Doric colonnade, while the flanking bays have tripartite windows. The windows are adorned with friezes and cornices, and the first and third bays have small-paned metal casements.
