Description
Priory Lodge is a lodge dating from 1867 to 1870, designed by A. Waterhouse. It is constructed of brick with blue and stone bands, and has a slate roof. The lodge is two storeys high, with two bays. It features corbelled eaves. The ground floor windows and a central timbered bay are jettied out over timber supports resting on low brick walls, forming a porch, with a gable projecting over a window. The returns of the lodge have paired windows sheltered by slate canopies, and deep verges to the gables. A tall brick stack runs across the centre of the building.
