Description

The lodge to Allerton Park Golf Course, built around 1815, is likely the work of T. Harrison. It is constructed of stucco with a hipped slate roof. The lodge is one storey high, comprising two bays wide by two bays deep, with a later rear extension. A Doric entablature runs along the top of the lodge. The windows have fielded panels in their aprons and are sash windows, lacking glazing bars. The central arched doorway features a tetra-style Doric portico and a half-glazed door. A central cruciform chimney stack is present. Two gate piers and two wall piers are distinguished by paired fluted pilasters and Doric entablatures, with low, curved walls connecting them.
