Stanley Warehouse To South Of Tobacco Warehouse

Stanley Warehouse, built between 1853 and 1856 by J. Hartley, is located to the south of the Tobacco Warehouse at Stanley Dock, Liverpool. This warehouse was constructed alongside another warehouse on the north side of the dock, but it is now separated from the dock by the later Tobacco Warehouse. The building is made of brick with a rubble granite base and features a rock-faced stone ground floor. It has five storeys and consists of 31 bays. The windows are segmental-headed with small-paned iron casements. The ground floor on the north side is supported by cast-iron Doric columns, although the arches have been blocked with brick infilling. The parapet has been altered over time.
