Description
The entrance to Stanley Dock, located at the corner of Saltney Street, features gate piers and a watchman's hut dating from around 1848, designed by J. Hartley. The structure is made of granite rubble and includes a central oval watchman's hut with battered sides, a chamfered base, and a Doric capital. The hut has blocked windows and entrance, as well as gate slots. The side gate piers are smaller and similar in design, also featuring gate slots. The gateway to the left has been bricked up.
