Description

Two houses, numbers 56 and 58 Falkner Street, were built in the 1820s. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and have a slate roof. Each house is two bays wide and has a basement and three storeys. The facades feature a lintel band at basement level, a sill band to the first floor, a top frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course. The windows are sash with glazing bars and have wedge lintels. The paired entrances are round-headed, with Doric doorcases featuring fluted columns, complete fanlights with intersecting glazing bars, and four-panel doors. Decorative iron railings are present to the areas and steps.
