Description
A pair of houses with a cottage to the rear, dating from the 1850s. The houses are constructed of rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings, and have slate roofs. The main part of the houses is two storeys and two bays, with the second bay projecting under a gable. A tower is situated in the angle of the building. The first bay features a stone verandah and a gabled entrance. The second bay has a canted bay with a stone hipped roof and a cross-window; the first-floor window has a balcony supported by brackets. The tower has decorative stonework above the ground-floor window, and at the top is a cross-window with pointed upper lights and a hood mould. A machicolated embattled parapet has a central feature with a cross and a square angle turret. On the right return, the second bay projects under a gable and includes a canted oriel. A three-bay range of one storey and an attic, to the right of the main houses, forms the cottage, with windows having panels above them and flat-topped dormers.
