Description

The Canning Dock retaining wall is a dock retaining wall located in Canning Dock, Liverpool. The north-west wall was built around 1737 as a pier, while the remainder of the wall was constructed between 1826 and 1829 by J. Hartley. The wall is made of stone, with later sections made of granite.
