Description
No. 2 Graving Dock is a graving dock built in 1765, which was lengthened in 1813 and deepened by J Hartley in 1842. It is constructed of sandstone and granite, featuring stepped stone sides with granite barrel runs, three on each side. The dock has granite coping and granite bollards around its sides. It is located to the south of No. 1 Graving Dock and is now part of the Merseyside Maritime Museum.
