Description

The watchman's hut, built in 1844 by Jesse Hartley, is located on the south side of the pierhead at Canning Half-Tide Dock. This structure is made of granite rubble and features an octagonal shape with battered sides. It has a corbelled roof topped with an urn finial. The hut includes seven chamfered windows and an entrance, with the windows being sashed and fitted with glazing bars.
