Description

The watchman's hut on Canning Island was built in 1844 by Jesse Hartley. It is constructed from granite rubble and has an octagonal shape with battered sides. The roof is corbelled and features a chimney that replaces the original urn finial. The hut includes seven chamfered windows and an entrance.
