Description

The Piermaster's House, formerly known as the Dock Master's House, was built around 1846. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. The building has three storeys and three bays. The windows are fitted with gauged brick flat arches and are sashed with glazing bars. The central entrance also has a gauged brick flat arch and a stone plaque above it. A wooden cornice rests on stone corbels, and the roof is hipped. The Piermaster's House is now part of the Merseyside Maritime Museum.
