Description

The sea wall to the west of Marine Parade is a granite structure built around 1846 by J Hartley. It extends for approximately 330 meters from Albert Pierhead to Gower Street. The wall features two sets of stone steps, one located at the southern end and another halfway along the parade. The design includes a rounded and corbelled profile, creating a series of curves that form recesses for the steps.
