Description

The pumping station, built in 1881, is constructed of common brick with a blue-brick base and red-brick dressings, topped with a hipped slate roof. The facade features a central round-headed entrance with a rusticated stone arch, flanked by segmental-headed windows. Above, there are two windows with small-paned iron casements, although the window to the right of the entrance is blocked. The building includes a Lombard frieze and has four bays of round-arched blind arcading with segmental-headed blind windows. The top storey has a sill band and paired round-headed windows positioned between pilaster strips, most of which are blind. The top is finished with a dentilled cornice. The right side of the building shows signs of an attached structure.
