Description
Nos. 25 and 25A on Church Street is a shop building dating from the mid-19th century. It stands four storeys tall and features three bays, constructed of stucco. The ground floor has 20th-century shop fronts. The first floor is characterized by round-headed windows that have keystones, ornamented spandrels, and are separated by panelled pilasters. The second and third floors display rusticated flat pilasters behind giant columns, with shaftings at the second floor sill level. A deep cornice with three tiers of brackets crowns the building. The second floor has three windows set in moulded architraves with keystones and cornices on brackets, along with ornamented balconies. The top floor features three sets of three round-headed windows with colonnettes and ornamented arches.
