Description
No. 8 Temple Court is an early 19th-century warehouse constructed of brick with stone dressings. The building stands four storeys high and features seven bays facing Temple Court and three bays facing Mathew Street. It has a first-floor sill course and cornice. On the ground floor, there are two windows with three lights to the left and five lights to the right of the entrance, which are fitted with iron mullions. The first and second floor windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows, with the second-floor windows including glazing bars. The third floor has two-light windows with wooden mullions. The entrance is adorned with a cornice supported by consoles and features three roundels above the door. The Mathew Street facade has three bays, including a recessed loading bay that has a pedimented cat-head. The stone pediment is complemented by a brick tympanum. Most windows are sash, except for the third-floor casement windows, and the ground floor windows do not have glazing bars.
