Description

No. 26 High Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. There is a sill band at the first floor and a cornice at the top. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. The central entrance is round-headed and includes a doorcase, which originally had columns (missing since 1984), a complete fanlight, and a half-glazed door. Above the entrance, there is a blind window designed to imitate a sash window. The property is also adorned with iron area railings and a gate that features decorative heads.
