Description

Leigh Bridge is a canal bridge over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, built in 1861 for the Liverpool Health Committee. It is constructed from stone and cast iron. The bridge features an iron segmental arch with latticed spandrels set between rusticated stone abutments. The balustrade is adorned with interlaced arcading and includes plaques that commemorate its construction.
