Description
A terrace of eleven houses located on Orford Street, with a return to number 11 Grove Street, built around 1850. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings, and have a hipped slate roof. They are two storeys in height, with one bay per house, except for number 34, which has two bays. The first bay forms a return to number 11 Grove Street, which has three bays. A first-floor sill band is present, along with a top frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and most have casement windows. The entrances are round-headed, with consoled doorcases; all but the entrances to the end houses are paired, with blind windows above. Numbers 18, 20 and 32 have sash windows with glazing bars; numbers 18, 20, 22 and 26 have two-panel doors.
