Description

The Gladstone Monument is a monument built in 1904, designed by Sir Thomas Brock. It features a tall stone pedestal adorned with seated female statues representing "truth" and "justice," along with a relief depicting "brotherhood." At the top of the monument stands a bronze figure of Gladstone, who is portrayed standing while holding a roll of parchment and books.
