Description

Eldon Grove Labourers' Dwellings is a group of council houses that opened in June 1912. The centre block is constructed of brick, cement, and render, featuring implanted timber framing. It has a hipped roof covered in blue and grey slates. The building is three stories high and has a rectangular shape, highlighted by a pair of framed and gabled canted bays. The design is bilaterally symmetrical around an open stairwell that provides access to first- and second-floor balconies, which span the elevation between the gabled bays. There are railings at the ground floor and on the balconies. This block serves as the central element in a group of three blocks.
