Description
The wall and gates to the Unitarian Chapel and church hall were built around 1898 by T. Worthington. The structure extends from a point on Cheltenham Avenue, west of the chancel apse, to a point on York Avenue, east of the hall entrance. It is constructed of brick with a stone plinth, coping, and dressings. The low wall was originally topped with railings and features short weathered piers. There are two pairs of wrought iron gates leading to Cheltenham Avenue, adorned with floral decoration. A main double gate on Ullet Road is of a heavier design, while a smaller gate on York Avenue is accompanied by a short section of railing that still has twisted bars.
