Description

No. 57 Shaw Street is a house built in the 1830s. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building stands three storeys high with a basement and features three bays. There is a lintel band at the basement level, a sill band at the first floor, and a top frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sashed, with glazing bars on the first and second floors. The entrance is framed by an Ionic aedicule without a pediment. Additionally, there are plain iron railings in front of the area and an iron balcony on the first floor.
