Description

This is a house built in the 1830s, situated on Shaw Street. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The property is three storeys high, with a basement, and features three bays. Key features include a band above the basement, a sill band on the first floor, a top frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels. The ground floor windows are boarded (as of 1984), the first floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and the second floor windows are casements, the central one being blind. The entrance is adorned with an Ionic aedicule, lacking a pediment, and features a boarded door (dated 1984). Simple iron area railings are also present.
