Description

The Bellerive Building is a house dating from the 1860s. It is constructed of stucco with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and originally comprised three bays. The first bay is recessed, the second features a projecting tower with a pyramidal roof, and the third breaks forward under a gable with a two-storey canted bay having a hipped roof. A sill band runs along the first floor, and boxed eaves are supported by brackets. The windows have varied designs, most with architraves and round heads. The canted bay has blind windows on the first floor, with the central one featuring a pediment. A porch in the first bay has a round-headed entrance, a panelled frieze, a cornice, a balustraded parapet, and a statue of Jesus. A round-headed window is positioned above the entrance, with a hood projecting above the eaves. Internally, the hall features a modillioned cornice and doors with architraves, foliated friezes, and cornices.
