Description

Windermere House is a house dating from the 1850s, built of stucco with a hipped roof. The house is two storeys high and has four bays, with the last bay recessed and of a lower height. The second bay projects forward and is topped with a pediment. A band runs across the building above the ground floor, forming a sill band to the recessed bay; a sill course is above the ground floor; and there is a top entablature and blocking course. The windows have architraves and are sash windows, without glazing bars. The windows in the first and third bays of the ground floor have aprons and tripartite sashes. The main entrance has a round head and tympanum, flanked by round-headed windows, and a four-panel door. A tetrastyle Ionic porch is incorporated into the entrance. The end bay features a round-headed entrance.
