Description

The Chestnuts is a house from the mid-19th century located on Beechwood Road South, L19. It is built of stucco and features a slate roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a three-bay facade. The first bay projects forward under a gable, while the end bay also projects under a similar gable. The windows are mullioned and transomed, complete with label moulds. The first bay includes a rectangular bay window on the ground floor of the end bay. There is a central gabled porch adorned with finials, featuring an entrance with a four-centred head and flanking iron lamp standards, although the lamps are missing. The first floor of the end bay has a blind window, and the rear of the house includes an iron verandah.
