Description
The Post Office pillar box located at the corner of Gower Street on Salthouse Quay is a Grade II listed structure. This pillar box, which dates back to 1863, is made of cast iron and features a cylindrical shape with a plinth. It has a horizontal slot for posting mail and is adorned with a frieze that includes two rope mouldings and the words "Post Office" in raised lettering. The top of the box is octagonal and moulded, topped with a crown.
