Description
The gatekeeper's hut, located at the pierhead to the north of the dock entrance, was possibly built in 1832. It is constructed of stone and features an octagonal shape with deep eaves and a corbelled roof topped with a stone finial. The hut has seven windows and an entrance that lacks frames. Brunswick Dock, where the hut is situated, was established in 1832 and was the first dock work of J. Hartley.
