Description
124 and 126 Bedford Street South are a pair of houses built in the 1830s. They are three storeys high with a basement and consist of five bays, featuring a sill band on the first floor and a cornice at the top. The windows have wedge lintels; the ground floor windows are boarded up (as of 1984), the first floor windows are sashed with glazing bars, and the second floor windows are casements. The central windows on both houses are blind. There are paired central round-arched entrances, and plain iron railings surround the area and steps. The doorcase of No. 124 includes one remaining Tuscan column, while No. 126 has no remaining columns (as of 1984).
