Description
Rice House, part of Saint Vincent School for the Blind, is an early 19th-century house. It is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and is composed of four bays. There is a top cornice and a blocking course. The windows are sashed and include glazing bars. The third bay is bowed and contains a tripartite window supported by Tuscan colonnettes. The entrance is located in the second bay, and there is a wall to the right end of the garden that curves to connect with the house and adjoins Rice Farmhouse. Additionally, there are three elliptical arched recesses, with the one nearest the house serving as an entrance, and it features stone coping and imposts.
