Description
Greenhalgh Castle Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a steep slate roof with brick chimney caps. The building has two storeys and an attic. The windows are rebated and chamfered, with mullions. To the left of the single-storey gabled porch is a three-light window, while to the right is a four-light window, accompanied by a blocked window and a window with plain reveals further to the right. On the first floor, there are four three-light windows. The chimneys are located on the right-hand gable and in line with the left-hand side of the door. Inside, the farmhouse includes a dog-leg stair with a closed string, turned balusters, and a moulded handrail. Some original panelled doors are still present. The roof trusses in the attic are visible and feature collars and queen struts.
