Description
This is a pair of gatepiers and attached garden walls located approximately 8 meters south of South Tunley Farmhouse, likely built around 1700. They are made of sandstone, with the walls constructed from rubble and topped with half-round copings. The gateway aligns with the porch of South Tunley Farmhouse and features quoined reveals. The slim piers, which are square in plan, have cornices and ball finials on top. At the time of the survey in February 1987, the ball finial on the eastern pier was detached.
