Description
This building is a row of six cottages, which are the remaining part of a former row of nine, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The cottages have been recently restored and are constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond with pale headers that create a checkered appearance. They feature sandstone dressings and a slate roof. Each cottage has a double-depth plan and is single-fronted, with two low storeys and six windows, one for each cottage. The doorways are coupled and have linked wedge lintels, with restored panelled doors. The cottages also have restored 16-pane sashed windows and ridge chimneys. This row of cottages is part of a group of similar buildings along this side of Chapel Street.
