Description
Armetridings is a farmhouse dated 1706, although it may be older, now functioning as a house. It features rendered brick on a stone plinth, with some visible stone dressings, and has a roof made of stone slates at the rear and blue slates at the front. The building has a linear plan with three bays and a baffle entry, along with a ridge chimney stack and a gable chimney stack at the right end. It stands two storeys high with a garret. The entrance includes a stone doorcase with a segmental hood situated between the first and second bays. There are three windows on each floor, all with keystones; the upper windows are smaller and have been converted to casements. A datestone above the door is inscribed with "W R E 1706." The rear of the building features a central two-storey porch with stone quoins. Inside, there are fireplace bressummers in the first and second bays, and the second bay contains a pair of ovolo-moulded bridging beams. The roof has large side purlins that are visible through the garret windows.
