Description
Churchills is a barn dating from the 18th century or possibly earlier, consisting of two sections, with the earlier part located to the north. The structure is built of red brick with some stone quoins and has a slate roof. It has a rectangular plan with four bays. The second bay features a wagon doorway with a segmental head, while the third bay has a first-floor window with glazing bars and two blocked windows below it. There is a board door in the fourth bay. The north end of the barn is lofted and includes a gable window. Attached to this end is a pent pigsty with enclosures made of clamped stone slabs. There is a modern rear outshut that is not of interest. The barn has group value with the farmhouse and St. Michael's Church.
